This year Diwine will bring its wines for the second time to LIWF (K62) and present wines from across the country's main wine-growing regions, with the focus very much on Croatia's premium offer. This year's show will take place on 18-20 May at ExCeL, London.
The wines have been selected to represent the best examples of
Croatian wine production with focus on Croatia's indigenous
varieties, with Plavac Mali and Posip from Dalmatia, Malvazija from
Istria, Zlahtina form Kvarner, and Grasevina from Slavonia.
Visitors to Diwine's stand will be able to try a wide range of
wines and styles that reflect the diversity of Croatia's geography
and terroir.
Also, Diwine will be launching its new brand called Vila Vina,
specially created for the UK market and consumers who prefer light,
low alcohol, fruity wines but yet providing an exciting new taste
of Croatian indigenous varieties. Vila Vina wines offer a whole
range of unique sorts from powerful red Plavac Mali and the
Riesling taste-a-like Grasevina to fresh and fruity
Malvazija.
In addition, all visitors are invited to a masterclass entitled
Introduction to Croatian Wine on Thursday 20 May at 10.30 am in the
LIWF masterclass theatre at the East End of the South Hall.
Following the LIWF, two masterclasses will be held on May 25, at
the InterContinental, Park Lane. The masterclasses are: styles and
ageing potential of Malvazija Istriana; and GraĊĦevina: the jewel in
the crown of Croatian whites.
